Scale petrified coral

You rarely see a shell of petrified coral and it is definitely something unique. After the coral has come under a thick layer of sediment, minerals have taken the place of the coral. Because of this you can still see the coral structures.

When you hold the shell of petrified coral against the light, you can often see the light coming through in several places.
